We recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol South – Cadbury House, located in Congresbury at the foot of Cadbury Hill and just a short drive off the M5.
Arrival and check in were extremely smooth, all thanks to the digital check in and key, which we downloaded before we even left home.
Our deluxe twin-bedded room was spacious and very comfortable, with a great walk-in shower and lovely Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries.
The hotel has 3 options for dining and we chose the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse for dinner. The food and service were both excellent and we also had drinks in the more relaxed bar area afterwards. There is a section of the restaurant that you can hire for private use.
We were able to view the hotel’s function spaces, which are all decorated in a contemporary fashion but certainly didn’t lack character. Thanks to the original section of the building, which was built in 1790, there are several features including large fireplaces and beautiful stone windows framing stunning countryside views.
For events, there are a range of rooms to consider, from quirky boardrooms to a large event space with its own bar and breakout areas. There are 11 rooms in total, accommodating from 4 to 400 guests.
Completing the facilities on offer at DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol South – Cadbury House, are a health club, spa with treatment rooms, salon, sauna and indoor pool, plus complimentary car parking for guests.
